Day 1 Delhi arrival
The fifteen day Religious Tour to Rajasthan begins with your arrival in Delhi. You will be welcomed and accompanied by Vacations & Journeys representative to the pre booked hotel where you can spend the remaining day as per your wish after checking in. You can visit the famous Laxmi Narayan Temple in the evening in Delhi.
Day 2 Travel from Delhi to Mandawa
Have a tempting breakfast and travel to Mandawa. In Mandawa you will be visiting the famous Raghunath Temple dedicated to Lord Rama and the Thakurji Temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. These two are the most visited temples in Mandawa. The Raghunath Temple has beautifully painted porch with frescos, has small cenotaphs on its roof and amazing interiors. Night stay will be in Mandawa.
Day 3 Travel from Mandawa to Bikaner
The next destination of the Rajasthan Religious Tour is Bikaner. Bikaner is famous for the Karni Mata Temple. The temple has been featured in documentaries on channels such as Discovery and National Geographic. You will be surprised to see a large number of rats wandering fearlessly in the temple premises. It is said that these rats have been blessed by goddess Karni Mata and they don’t pose any threat to the humans around them. It is also believed that if you spot a white rat in the temple then your wishes will be fulfilled. Night stay in Bikaner.
Day 4 Travel from Bikaner to Jaisalmer
Beginning the day with breakfast, drive to Jaisalmer. The second thing Jaisalmer is famous for after the Thar Desert is the Tanot Mata Mandir. This magical temple has Indian Soldiers as its main devotees. The temple is run and maintained by Indian Army soldiers. It is said that during the 1965 Indo-Pak war many bombs were dropped on the temple but none of them blasted. The live bombs are even kept on display in the temple. Then visit to the 16 kms from Jaisalmer, the Lodurva Jain Temple famous for its astonishing architecture.
Day 5 Travel from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur
Begin an early day and travel from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur. The Chamunda Mata Temple inside the Mehrangarh Fort has unparallel belief of the devotees. The other prominent temples in Jodhpur where you will make a visit are the Baba Ramdeora Temple, Banke Bihari Temple and the Achal Nath Shivalaya dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Day 6 Travel from Jodhpur to Ranakpur
On this day you will be transferred to Ranakpur from the vehicle of your choice. Ranakpur is famous for the incredible Chaturmukha Temple. The striking architecture of this temple will truly impress you. The structure stands on more than a thousand pillars each of which is designed with unique hand carvings. The temple is a four faced shrine and designed in the ‘Maru-Gurjaru’ style. The next destination you will be covering is Udaipur.
Day 7 Travel from Ranakpur to Udaipur
Get ready for travelling to Udaipur after having breakfast, check out and travel to Udaipur. In the beautiful ‘City of Lakes’ you will be enchanted by the beauty of the famous temples also along with the enticing beauty of the lakes and palaces. The Jagdish Temple of Udaipur dedicated to Lord Vishnu is very fascinating to watch. The three storied temple has painted walls, carved pillars and decorated ceilings. Other than this the Mahakaleshwar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is also a religious attraction in Udaipur. Night stay in Udaipur.
Day 8 Travel from Udaipur to Pushkar
Begin the day with a healthy and delicious breakfast and travel to Pushkar. The Hindu pilgrimage city is dedicated to Lord Brahma. It has a famous Pushkar Lake on the name of which the place has been named. The holy place is considered to be very sacred and like other Hindu pilgrimage sites it is believed that taking bath in the Pushkar Lake will remove all your sins. Check into the hotel on reaching Pushkar and relax. Attend the enchanting evening Aarti in the Pushkar Lake.
Day 9 Pushkar sightseeing
The day is reserved for sightseeing the temples and ghats in Pushkar. Have a boat ride in the Pushkar Lake and view all the ghats. Then visit the famous Brahma Temple, one of the rare temples of Lord Brahma. The 2000 years old temple has marble flooring with silver coins inlaid on the walls. After visiting it, visit the Chamunda Mata Temple, the Varaha Temple and the Goddess Savitri Temple in Pushkar. Night in Pushkar.
Day 10 Travel from Pushkar to Jaipur
The next site for continuing the religious tour in Rajasthan is the capital city Jaipur. The Moti Doongri Ganesh Ji Temple is very famous in Jaipur and a crowd of devotees can always be seen here. Situated near to the Moti Doongri Temple is the Birla Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati, this beautiful temple is totally made of white marble with a hall that has been decorated with superb colored glass works and surrounded by lush green gardens the temple has a very peaceful environment throughout the day. Govind Dev Ji Temple is another religious attraction in Jaipur.
Day 11 Travel from Jaipur to Ranthambore
Begin the day early in the morning and travel to Ranthambore which is hardly two hours distance from Jaipur. If you want, you can enjoy the jeep safari in the Ranthambore National Park and catch a glimpse of the diverse flora and fauna of the park and then make a visit to the Trinetra Ganesh Temple situated inside the Ranthambore Fort which is now in ruins. The Temple witnesses a large crowd during the time of Ganesh Chaturthi and is less crowded during the other times of the year.
Day 12 Travel from Ranthambore to Bharatpur
From Ranthambore, today you will travel to Bharatpur. Bharatpur is basically famous for the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary which has now been renamed to Keoladevi National Park. Many species of migratory birds, animals and plants can be seen in this National Park. You will have a visit to the National Park as well as the important temples in Bharatpur for visiting are the Ganga Maharani Temple, Banke Bihari Temple and the Laxman Mandir. Night stay in Bharatpur.
Day 13 Travel from Bharatpur to Agra
Today after a delicious breakfast, you will move from Bharatpur to Agra. The journey won’t be long and on the way you will visit Fatehpur Sikri. It served as the Mughal capital for a few years and hence has the World Heritage Site of Fort of Fatehpur Sikri, Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal and the Tomb of Salim Chishti. On reaching Agra visit to the Shri Mankameshwar Temple and afterwards retire for the night.
Day 14 Travel from Agra to Mathura
After having a delicious breakfast you may now proceed to Mathura. The spiritual city of Mathura is situated in Uttar Pradesh and was the abode of Lord Krishna. Situated near to Mathura is his birthplace ‘Vrindavan’. Mathura has a large number of temples dedicated to Lord Krishna among whom the most famous ones are Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, Krishna Balram Temple and the Prem Mandir in Vrindavan. The atmospheres of these temples are drowned in spirituality which will make you feel divine.
Day 15 Departure
This day marks the end of Rajasthan Religious Tour. To have seen such beautiful as well as peaceful spiritual places we hope that your mind and body feels peaceful as well, and we wish to see you soon. You will be dropped on the Delhi International Airport.
