Day 1    Delhi arrival

The arrival will be scheduled on the Delhi International Airport where a representative of Vacations & Journeys will welcome, greet and transfer you to the reserved hotel in Delhi. You can now take some rest and refreshments and if you are feeling good in the evening you can explore Delhi. Visit the Hauz Khas village or have a view of the India Gate in Delhi.

Day 2    Travel from Delhi to Mandawa (233 kms)

You will be travelling to the first destination of Rajasthan Heritage and Culture Tour that is Mandawa. Mandawa is a town in the Jhunjhunu district of India with desert lands. On reaching Mandawa you will be welcomed in the hotel where you will be staying. Have some refreshment and then watch the famous Havelis in Mandawa. The Havelis are the castles or homes which belonged to the wealthiest people of the town. Unlike the European or western castles, the castles of Mandawa are built in traditional Rajasthani architectural style with intricate works on the doors, ceilings, windows, walls, pillars and on every nook which shows the ultimate craftsmanship of the artists of those times. There are numerous Havelis in Mandawa and the artistry of each of them outdo the other in some way. Rest in the hotel at night.

Day 3    Travel from Mandawa to Jaipur (169 kms)

Morning in Mandawa, visit the Shri Raghunath Temple and enjoy a leisurely camel ride in Mandawa. Then visit the Mandawa Fort which has now been converted in to a heritage hotel. In the evening you will be shifted to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan which is also famous with the name of Pink City. Spend the night in Jaipur relaxing and taking off your tiredness.

Day 4    Jaipur sightseeing

Start the day with a refreshing morning in Jaipur, where you will visit some incredibly built structures in Rajasthani architectural style. After breakfast move to Amber Fort, one of the most incredible forts in the world, the Amber Fort was the capital of Rajput Kachhwaha Kings and family. The fort is known for the stunning architecture, spectacular palaces and astounding gardens that are situated in its premises. Then you will visit the Jaigarh Fort, the sister fort of Amber Fort.
 
Afterwards you will have a drive past the Jal Mahal and Hawa Mahal on the way to Galta Ji Monkey Temple, another attraction in Jaipur. Afterwards you may visit the Albert Hall Museum or may go on a shopping spree in Jaipur which is considered a great place for shopping.

Day 5    Travel from Jaipur to Pushkar (145 kms)

After the breakfast in the morning you will be taken to the City Palace of Jaipur where you will see a vast collection of Royal costumes, palanquins, weaponry, etc in one of the most incredible palace of the country. City Palace of Jaipur is built with the combination of Rajput and European architectural styles and has several intricately built gates and palaces inside. After visiting the City Palace, you will be moved to Pushkar post lunch. On reaching Pushkar check in the hotel and after some refreshments you will be taken to see the evening prayers at the Pushkar Lake.

Pushkar is a city that is an amazing blend of desert, forest, hills and lake. It is visited as a pilgrimage and as a tourist destination by the seekers of peace in the deserts of Rajasthan. Stay is scheduled in Pushkar.

Day 6    Travel from Pushkar to Jodhpur (187 kms)

Begin the day early in the morning and enjoy boat riding in the Pushkar Lake which has over 50 banks on its sides. Then visit the famous Brahmaji Temple in Pushkar, the temple is dedicated to Lord Brahma, a Hindu deity with very few temples in the world after this follow visit in the Man Mahal. Then you will leave for Jodhpur, the next destination of the Rajasthan Heritage & Culture Tour. Check in on arrival in Jodhpur and spend the rest of the time in leisure.

Day 7    Jodhpur sightseeing

Excursion of the Sun City begins in the morning after breakfast. First visit in the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, the majestic fort has been featured in several blockbuster Hollywood movies and is a famous Wedding Destination in India. The fort glorifies the Royal Rajput clan of Rathores and their lineage. Built on a height of 400 feet on a hilltop it was commenced by Rao Jodha who is the founder of Jodhpur city; there is a museums inside the fort complex which has a remarkable collection of royal paintings, arms, costumes, turbans and palanquins which were used by the royal family of Jodhpur. After a visit to the enormous Mehrangarh Fort you will also visit the Jaswant Thada, a memorial of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II built by his son.
This monument is built with white marble which has been carved beautifully to give details like nets and arcs, etc. Later you will be taken to have a visit to one of the largest palaces of the World, the Umaid Bhawan Palace. This grand palace is a sandstone and marble structure with three hundred and forty rooms and is the residence of the Jodhpur royal family. In the evening you can do some shopping in Jodhpur.

Day 8    Travel from Jodhpur to Ranakpur to Udaipur (170 kms-93 kms)

Have breakfast and move to Udaipur from Jodhpur. Another jewel in the crown of Rajasthan Udaipur was the capital of the Sisodia Kings. On the way to Udaipur you will stop in Ranakpur, which is known for the famous three-tiered Chaturmukha Jain Temple. This temple is dedicated to the Jain Tirthankar Adinath and is built in Maru-Gurjara style architecture which is actually the mother of Gujarati and Rajasthani architectural styles. There are over 1400 pillars in the temple supporting the beautiful sanctums of the temple and there is a featured monolith 108 headed snake with multiple tails built meticulously. The journey continues after the Ranakpur Temple visit until you reach Udaipur, the ‘Venice of the East’. You will spend night relaxing in the hotel in Udaipur.

Day 9    Udaipur sightseeing

Udaipur sightseeing includes the visit to the City Palace of Udaipur which is a must if you are in this incredible ‘City of Lakes’. The City Palace of Udaipur was built by Maharana Udai Singh II of the Mewar dynasty who shifted here from Udaipur. It is situated on the banks of Lake Pichhola and has been built by the talented and artistic hands and it shows. The City Palace has unparallel interior decoration works like murals, paintings, inlay works, mirror works and marble works which have been painted using natural colors and in a way that they can bear any temperature without getting discolored. The presence of several magnificent palaces like the Amar Vilas Palace, Mirror Palace, Dilkhusha Palace, Chitrashala, etc; make it even more enticing and attractive. Afterwards you will visit the Moti Magri, Lake Fateh Sagar and then you will visit the live museum village of Shilpgram. There can be no place better than Shilpgram to see the Heritage and Culture of Rajasthan closely. Night in Udaipur.

Day 10    Departure

The Rajasthan Heritage and Culture Tour ends on this day with your transfer being made to the Airport from where you can board your flight. We would hope that you have had a great time and will return for another tour in India soon.
