Day 1    Delhi arrival

The tour begins with your arrival on Delhi Airport where you will be received by our assignee who will be taking you to the pre booked hotel in Delhi. You will be given some time to relax and refresh and then if you are free in the evening then you will be taken for a tour of Delhi. In the evening you will visit the India Gate, Akshardham Temple and the Hauz Khas village to have an appetizing dinner from the multi cuisine restaurants of this complex. Retire for the night in the hotel.

Day 2    Travel from Delhi to Agra (231 kms)

Take morning breakfast in Delhi and then proceed towards Agra. Situated in the North West of Uttar Pradesh state you will reach here after a smooth drive from Delhi. After refreshment you will be taken for a visit to the Agra Fort, the Fort was built during the Mughal rule by Emperor Akbar. The fort complex has several buildings inside, each one of which has been impressively built with the combination of the Mughal and Rajput architecture. The next place to visit is the beautiful Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, the tomb was built before the Taj Mahal and is said to have inspired the construction of Taj. In the evening you will be taken to the Mehtab Bagh to watch the grandeur of the Taj Mahal during the sunset hours. Walk in the local markets of Agra shopping for handcrafted marble items.

Day 3    Travel from Agra to Fatehpur Sikri to Ranthambore (37 kms-256 kms)

After breakfast you will visit the astounding Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. On a close visit at the Taj Mahal you will see how impeccable the built of this monument is. Perfectly symmetrical, the spotless white marble with carved verses of Quran and decorations inlaid with precious stones and latticed windows, etc are all exquisite features of the Taj Mahal. Then you will head to Ranthambore, the next destination of the tour for a great wildlife experience. Shortly after Agra en-route to Ranthambore you will stop to watch the World Heritage Site, the Fatehpur Sikri Fort. The Fort was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar and has several archaic and beautiful palaces inside it like the Panch Mahal, Mariyam-uz-Zamani’s Mahal, etc along with the grand entrance to the fort called the Buland Darwaza, which is a victory arch which built after the successful Gujarat Campaign of Akbar. Jahangir, the first son and successor of Akbar was born here.
 
Then carry on with the journey to reach Ranthambore and check in the hotel once you reach. Re-energize your body at night in the hotel for the day long sightseeing on the next day.

Day 4    Ranthambore National Park and Fort visit

You will reach the Ranthambore National Park with a representative of Vacations & Journeys and then you will take seats in the jeep for enjoying the Jungle Safari in the Ranthambore National Park. Situated in Rajasthan, the Ranthambore National Park has a dense forest which is divided into ten zones which includes lakes and the forest cover. Ranthambore is one of the prominent Tiger Reserves of the country and has a good population of tigers in the reserve. While on Jungle Safari you will catch glimpse of the tigers in their natural habitat, busy in their own activities. Not only tigers but the Park is inhabited by several other endangered species of mammals and reptiles.

After enjoying the safari you will now visit the Ranthambore Fort, enlisted under the World Heritage List of UNESCO the fort has the remnants of the temples, villas and cenotaphs which once stood tall in this place. From here you will get panoramic views of the national park.

Day 5    Travel from Ranthambore to Bundi (130 kms)

Today you will head towards Bundi. The Land of Hada Rajputs, Bundi is known for the mighty Taragarh Fort. The fort gives spectacular views of Kota city from its ramparts. It has three grand entrances named as the Phuta Darwaza, Gagudi ki Phatak and the Lakshmi Pol giving access to the temples, palaces and the massive battlements which still have the grand cannons on display attracting the tourists. The other places of attraction in Bundi are the Sukh Mahal which was built for providing a leisure palace to the princesses, the Bundi Palace known for the brilliantly crafted murals inside the palace. You will spend the night in Bundi.

Day 6    Travel from Bundi to Chittorgarh (191 kms)

On the sixth day of the tour, head towards Chittorgarh. Chittorgarh is a famous historic city of Rajasthan and it has witnessed some of the mightiest battle fought between the Rajput and the Mughals. It served as the capital of Mewar for centuries and has a number of tourist attractions relating the present to the historic times. Here you will see the Chittaurgarh Fort, Rana Kumbha Palace, Fort Fateh Prakash Palace, Rani Padmini’s Palace, Meera Temple and the Archeological Museum of Chittorgarh and get to know more about this royal city of Rajasthan.

Day 7    Travel from Chittorgarh to Udaipur (112 kms)

Start the day early and visit the places which you were not able to visit the day before due to lack of time and then proceed for the next city of the Rajasthan Tour with Udaipur and Ranthambore that is Udaipur. The City of Lakes, has won recognitions as the Most Beautiful City in the world. There are a number of beautiful white palaces which are situated either on the islands in lakes or on the banks of lakes making this city the most exotic city in Rajasthan. Enjoy a boat ride in the Lake Pichola in the evening and get fascinated by the spell bounding beauty of the palaces in Lake Pichola. Then enjoy walk in the local markets of Udaipur buying wooden articles, paintings, potteries, jewellery, etc.

Day 8    Udaipur sightseeing

Begin the day early after breakfast so that you can visit as many marvelous palaces in Udaipur. First you will be taken to visit the City Palace of Udaipur. Built using granite and marble the palace was built by the founder of Udaipur, Maharana Udai Singh II. The City Palace stands on the eastern bank of the Lake Pichola, the palace will not fail to impress you with its marble and mirror work interiors of the beautifully built palaces including the Amar Vilas Badi Mahal, Durbar Hall, Rang Bhawan, Manak Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, etc. After this you will be visiting the Jagdish Temple, Lake Fateh Sagar and Moti Magri followed by the Shilpgram. Take rest overnight in Udaipur.

Day 9    Travel from Udaipur to Mount Abu (163 kms)

On this day you will be travelling to another destination of the tour and will be accompanied by the staff from Vacations & Journeys. On the way to Mount Abu you will drive through the hills of the Aravali Ranges to reach here. Covered with trees and forests the landscapes are very beautiful. Then on reaching Mount Abu you will be taken for visit to the Achalgarh Fort, the Nakki Lake nearby which is the Toad Rock and then the Trevor’s Crocodile point which is a breeding point of the crocodiles. Overnight stay in Mount Abu.

Day 10    Travel from Mount Abu to Ranakpur to Kumbhalgarh (160 kms-33 kms)

Have a tempting breakfast in the morning and pack your bags to reach Kumbhalgarh. On the way to Kumbhalgarh you will make a stoppage at Ranakpur to see the spell bounding beauty of the Chaturmukha Jain Temple. The temple has distinguishing art on its pillars and the sanctum. The temple and has a three-leveled sanctum which has been supported by over 1444 pillars all of which have been carved with unique designs on each one of them. Afterwards reach Kumbhalgarh and unwind at the hotel and take off your tiredness.

Day 11    Travel from Kumbhalgarh to Jodhpur (187 kms)

Today you will be exploring one of the prominent forts of Rajasthan, the Kumbhalgarh Fort. The fort is a World Heritage Site enlisted under the Hill forts of Rajasthan list by UNESCO. It has the second largest wall enclosure after the Great Wall of China, which encloses the whole fort in a 38 kilometers periphery. Situated on 1100 meter high hill the fort is second largest in Rajasthan after Chittorgarh Fort. The Fort complex has superbly built temples and the Aaret Pol, Hanuman Pol, Ram Pol and Halla Pol as the massive entrance gates. The temples, entrances, wall and the residential buildings inside the fort are all well preserved and from here one can also see the sand dunes of the Thar Desert. After the visit in the morning hours you may proceed to Jodhpur after lunch. Check in the hotel in Jodhpur and rest overnight.

Day 12    Jodhpur sightseeing

The places you will be visiting in Jodhpur are the Mehrangarh Fort, the Jaswant Thada and the Umaid Bhawan Palace. Your excursion in Jodhpur will commence after breakfast and you will march to the Mehrangarh Fort. The Mehrangarh Fort houses an impressive collection of items which were used in the royal household and has intricate mirror inlays inside. The rampart of the fort gives an awesome view of the Sun City of Jodhpur. Then visit one of the largest private residences of the World, the Umaid Bhawan Palace that also houses a brilliant collection of murals, paintings, vintage cars, clocks and antiques for the tourists to watch. Later visit the Balsamand Lake which is an artificial water reservoir built in 1159 AD near Jodhpur and you may also visit the famous Mandore Gardens and the splendid ancient temple complex along with Thamba Mahal and cenotaphs of Deval.

Day 13    Travel from Jodhpur to Jaipur (337 kms)

Enjoy breakfast in the morning in the hotel and start journey towards Jaipur. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and has several monuments of historical importance which give Jaipur its identity. The city is now developing as an IT city but it has also conserved its heritage very well. On reaching Jaipur, check in the hotel and then relax after a delicious dinner.

Day 14    Jaipur sightseeing

After having a good night’s sleep wake up and get ready to explore the Pink City. In Jaipur you will see the Jaigarh Fort which was built by Raja Jai Singh II in 1726 in order to keep an eye on the intruders in the Amber Fort, it is situated at a close distance to Amber Fort. With Grand gardens, museum and villas, the fort also houses a grand cannon named Jaivana and it is known as a sister monument of the Amber Fort. Next place you will be visiting is the Amber Fort, enlisted in the list of Hill Forts of Rajasthan by UNESCO, the fort has marvelous architecture and it is built in Rajput style and has beautiful gardens, villas and museums which can be accessed with the grand and spectacular entrance gates. Then you will visit Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory, Hawa Mahal, Birla Temple and then the Albert Hall Museum. After the daylong tour relax and retire for the night in the hotel in Jaipur.

Day 15    Departure

On this day you will be transferred to Delhi from Jaipur. We will drop you at the Delhi Airport to board your flight back home marking the end of your Rajasthan Tour with Udaipur and Ranthambore.
