Royal Rajasthan Tour Package

Day 1    Delhi arrival

In the beginning of the Royal Rajasthan Tour your arrival will be scheduled on the Delhi Airport where you will be welcomed by a representative from Vacations & Journeys. Then a short drive to the hotel and you can relax after the check in. The rest of the time you are free to spend according to your discretion.

Day 2    Delhi sightseeing

Start an early day with breakfast in Delhi and get ready for a day long excursion of the capital of India. A perfect blend of history and modernization, Delhi also serves as the political centre of the country and all the VVIP dignitaries of the government reside in Delhi. In the morning you will visit the Qutub Minar followed by the ruins of Purana Quila (Old Fort) which served as the headquarters of the Islaamic rule India. Then visit the Lodi gardens followed by Raj Ghat, to reach the Raj Ghat you will drive past the President’s House, Parliament House and the India Gate. In the evening enjoy a ride in the Chandni Chowk Market and get to know more about the city, its people and its food.

Day 3    Travel from Delhi to Jaipur (268 kms)

On this day you will travel to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, also called the Pink City. The journey is a 3-4 hours smooth drive from Delhi. Jaipur is one of the prominent tourist places in Rajasthan and is visited by the tourists who are attracted to the resplendent monuments of this impressive city. Jaipur was founded by Raja Jai Singh II in November 1727. The city was very well planned and was one of the best planned infrastructural developments of that time with planned waterways, roads, official buildings, gardens and everything that a city requires. After reaching Jaipur, check in the hotel and explore the vibrant markets of Jaipur. You will surely find many handmade items in the market which look so beautiful that you will surely be tempted to buy them.

Day 4    Jaipur sightseeing

The excursion of this majestic city starts from the visit to the Amer or the Amber Fort. The fort was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh I in his capital Amer. The fort has been built with red sandstone and marble in Rajput architectural style. On the way to the fort you will see the exquisite Jal Mahal (Water Palace) situated on an island in the Man Sagar Lake. The Amber Fort can be divided into four levels, the first has the Sila Devi Temple, second consists of the Assembly halls, the third level has the gardens, guest and Kings palaces and the final and fourth level has the Zanana quarters for the ladies of the royal household. The other places you will visit in Jaipur is the royal City Palace of Jaipur, Jantar Mantar, drive past the Hawa Mahal and visit to the Choki Dhani in the evening for your entertainment with Rajasthani folk music and dances with delicious food. Relax at night in Jaipur.

Day 5    Travel from Jaipur to Jodhpur (337 kms)

In the morning you are free to visit the location of your choice in Jaipur and then after refreshment you will proceed to Jodhpur. The city founded by Rao Jodha, the Rathore Rajput King. Jodhpur is known for the majestic fort and palaces which were built by the Kings of Jodhpur. In the evening you will reach Jodhpur where you can lounge in the hotel.

Day 6    Jodhpur sightseeing

The day starts with a savory breakfast and then you will march towards the Mehrangarh Fort; it has been enlisted as a World Heritage Site under the Hill Forts of Rajasthan by UNESCO. The fort is located on a 410 feet high hill and has a large collection of turbans, costumes, palanquins, paintings, arms and many more items belonging to the royal household.  After watching this amazing collection you will proceed to watch another exemplary collection of antique clocks, vintage cars, armors, porcelain and much more in the Umaid Bhawan Palace. One more interesting thing to know about the Umaid Bhawan Palace is that it is one of the largest private residences in the world which was just built to give employment to the famine struck citizens of Jodhpur by Maharaja Umaid Singh.
 
You will also visit the Jaswant Thada in Jodhpur which is a beautiful memorial of Maharaja Jaswant Singh built with white marble cenotaphs and surrounded by beautiful gardens. At night you can visit the Rao Jodha Ji statue to have a sparkling view of the ‘Blue City’.

Day 7    Travel from Jodhpur to Mount Abu (276 kms)

Continuing the Royal Rajasthan Tour Package on the seventh day you will proceed to Mount Abu from Jodhpur. Mount Abu is a hill station of Rajasthan which is located on the Aravali Ranges and the highest peak of the Aravali Range is Guru Shikhar which is located in Mount Abu. Visit the Dilwara Temple located near Mount Abu, known for the intricately carved pillars and ceilings, the temples are decorated with unparallel detailed works by the craftsmen. Then visit the beautiful Nakki Lake and enjoy a boat ride in the serene lake and take a walk at the Abu Road and get to know about the people and their lifestyle in Mount Abu.

Day 8    Travel from Mount Abu to Udaipur (163 kms)

On the way to Udaipur you will visit Chaturmukha Temple in Ranakpur. The beautiful Jain Temple of Chaturmukha is known for its impeccable architecture and the impressive works done on the pillars, walls and the sanctum. There are numerous other features of the temple that will truly impress you. After a short drive from Ranakpur you will reach the city which is called the ‘Venice of the East’. Check in the hotel and enjoy a boat ride in the Lake Pichola and watch the awe-inspiring views of the beautiful palaces in the lake.

Day 9    Udaipur sightseeing

Wake up energized in the morning to enjoy the beauty and elegance of some of the most exotic palaces of the World. Udaipur is called the City of Lakes due to the artificial lakes that now are the major point of attraction in Udaipur. You will be visiting the following places in Udaipur- the City Palace which is the royal family’s residence, then the Lake Palace which is a palace cum hotel now maintained by the Taj Group of Hotels, and then visit the Moti Magri and the Shilpgram for to have a look at the live cultural museum that showcases the life of the village folk of Rajasthan.

Day 10    Travel from Udaipur to Chittorgarh (116 kms)

From Udaipur you will travel to Chittaurgarh on this day which used to be the former capital of the Mewar Kings before they shifted their capital to Udaipur. In Chittaurgarh you will visit the mighty Chittaurgarh Fort which is also known for the historic battles fought by Rana Kumbha, Maharana Pratap and Gora. The largest fort of Rajasthan is a World Heritage Site under the Hill Forts of Rajasthan, spread in an area of 700 acres, the fort is said to be built in 7th century and it was ruled by the Mewar kings for eight centuries. Other places you will visit here are the Fort Fateh Prakash Palace which was built by Maharana Pratap in Rajasthani architectural style having several pillars and corridors and it has a vast collection of paintings and crystal items which were liked by Maharana Pratap.

Day 11    Travel from Chittorgarh to Ranthambore (306 kms)

After breakfast in the morning you can visit the Rana Kumbha Palace, the palace has witnessed many historical events including the Jauhar of Rani Padmini. Followed by the visit to the Archeological Museum of Chittorgarh you will proceed to Ranthambore after lunch to know about the wildlife which is flourishing in Rajasthan. Check in and retire for the night in the hotel in Ranthambore.

Day 12    Travel from Ranthambore to Agra (293 kms)

The day begins early, where you will be taken to the Ranthambore National Park for an exciting Jungle Safari on a Jeep. Spread in an area of four hundred square kilometers the area of the park has dense forest, waters streams, small ponds and rocks making the views very captivating. This forest is home to several endangered species of animals including the Royal Bengal Tigers also. But with awareness in recent years and strict check and rules against poaching the forest officials have been successful in increasing the population of Tigers and other species in the national park. You will be watching sambhar, macaques, squirrels, langoors, wild boars, jungle cats, leopards, nilgai and many more other species of animals here. After the visit you will be proceeding towards Agra. Night stay in Agra.

Day 13    Agra sightseeing

Although famous for the Taj Mahal, the city of Agra has several other remarkable monuments which are a must visit in Agra. Have breakfast and then visit the Agra Fort in the morning followed by Sikandra, the tomb of Akbar the great and Mariyam-uz-Zamani’s Tomb situated nearby. Then you will visit the beautiful Taj Mahal and have a closer look at what you have just seen in the movies, magazines and internet. The Taj Mahal looks much more beautiful when seen in reality; it is specially visited by the tourists during sunrise and sunset hours as its white surface reflects the sunlight looking heavenly. Visit the restaurant in Agra and taste some of the most delicious Mughal delicacies.

Day 14    Departure

The day ends the Royal Rajasthan Tour, after a delicious breakfast you will be transferred to Delhi International Airport from Agra to board flight back to your hometown. We will ensure your safe and on time departure for Delhi.
